OVERVIEW
The Westlake Radial RP18 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger and crossover vehicles. Westlake offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire guarantees superb all weather traction. The symmetric tread design and the all season tire compound work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The enhanced all weather road gripping ability and driving safety are further improved with the tire's hydroplaning resistance. The main circumferential and numerous lateral grooves actively eliminate water and slush from below the tire's footprint, which upgrades the year round driving safety significantly.
The model's remarkable controllability is due to its maintained road contact. The lower tire profile and the tread pattern improve the steering responsiveness. Their constant contact with the road surface improves the steering response time and accuracy. The tread design's vertical siping detail upgrades the driving stability, as it secures the tire against the driving pressure affecting it. The vertical sipes and the shoulder tread block sequence boost the cornering and maneuvering ability and power. They firmly grip the road surface with additional biting edges that ensure a safer and more reliable driving experience.
The Radial RP18 promotes a longer lasting tread life. The symmetric non-directional tread design manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tire surface. This equal circulation of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids irregular wear formations on the tread area. The extended tread life and usability make the tire more cost efficient.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
