The GT Radial Maxtour LX is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. GT Radial offers a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire ensures a comfortable driving experience. The asymmetric ribbed pattern features a harmonized pitch sequence across the tread area. This pitch variation negates the sound waves generated during the performance, before they can reach the vehicle's cabin. The tread design ensures a quiet drive, by preventing sound wave formations while the tires are in motion. This ensures the passengers' driving enjoyment.
The tread design's versatile elements are utilized to boost the controllability. The three center ribbed blocks upgrade the surface contact at all times, increasing the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The stronger compound elements optimize the rubber flexibility at all times, boosting the summer and winter weather grip. The wavy siping and groove placement generates extra biting edges in order to boost the surface traction. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint in wet conditions.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
